I am always in search of people or ideas that help me view reality from new perspectives. I came across this video yesterday. The first fifteen minutes or so is a condensed history lesson on perspectives of the science community and how they can be a little.... exclusive. The rest of the talk is about... well.. a conscious universe! Some time stamps below of sections I found especially interesting. I think I will be checking out that David Bentley Hart book "The Experience of God", for sure.
00 "monads" (makes me think gonads.... LOL), planets/galaxys/stars/humans/trees/everything they are beings mirroring the universe each from a different point of view - the identity of indiscernibles
45 matter is not stuff (like a billiard ball), it is a process because everything is waves - Whitehead. Atoms, molecules, cells are all organisms in themselves. Organisms at all levels that make up something greater than the whole of its parts.
50 sun is a conscious being?
20 the planets, solar systems, galaxies, are all organisms themselves that make up the next level of organism, like cells of the body make up organs, organs make up a system (digestion/nervous).
20 electromagnetic fields of our brains ARE the consciousness. Not the brain matter itself.
00 a being with access to all the electromagnetic fields would have omniscience 🙀
35 theology - dealing with ultimate consciousness. David Bentley Hart The Experience of God. bringing Hindu/Christianity/Buddhism together, they all have the same basis.
30 Trinity broken down - God is the consciousness, the background.... Jesus is the form, the physical things.... Holy Spirit is the breath, the force that creates and changes
30 basic archetype of consciousness reflected in the whole universe
00 meditation. Sports as spiritual practice
30 Rupert Sheldrake used to have mechanicistic POV and finds it insufficient now.
